Brick Sports Medicine
With our
Brick sports medicine, you can get yourself back to 100% (or as close as possible). At the office of Dr. Theodore D'Amato, we understand that athletic activity, whether you're an amateur or a professional, takes its toll on your poor feet and ankles. And you can't perform at your best with pain, inflammation, swelling, or protrusions hindering you. Let our foot doctor help.
It really doesn't matter what your sport is. If it involves being on your feet or using your feet (and that's almost all of them), then you are eventually going to take advantage of our
Brick sports medicine. The stress and pressure that are created from running, jumping, and pivoting on hard surfaces takes its toll. In addition to putting you on the sidelines, if the injury is severe, you might not be able to walk, stand, or even put your socks and shoes on. And while any part of your foot can be impacted, most commonly, it's your ankle, toes, and heel. Count on our
Brick sports medicine to address bunions, achilles tendonitis or torn achilles tendons, plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, and ankle sprains, among others. Blisters, corns, and athlete's foot are also managed effectively. You will be examined thoroughly by our foot doctor, and x-rays may be taken to reach a conclusive diagnosis. At that point, potential treatment options will be discussed with you. The goal of Dr. D'Amato is to keep those treatments non-invasive, if at all possible. Among the approaches that may be taken, either on their own or in conjunction with others, are shoe orthotics, stretching exercises, physical therapy, and topical or oral medication. Surgery is done skillfully when no other option is likely to produce the needed results.
Please contact our office to arrange a prompt visit for an examination and sports medicine treatment.
